Other People's Houses

I read this post on Apartment Therapy: Over-Sharing and Over-Caring: Decorating in the Digital Age and it posed some questions that made me feel kind of shallow and guilty about how much I love ogling other people's personal spaces online. Since I am a lifelong over-sharer and I also care way too much about everything in general I figured it would make sense to post a few pics of our home - where I nurture an environment of domestic harmony 24/7 (hahaha) and hoard Pyrex, cook, work, procrastinate.  Occasionally I even try to do little improvement projects (beyond just a re-org of the Pyrex cabinet) in order to rationalize all that Pinterest time. I promise I'm not seeking acceptance by posting these, I'm just really proud of the way I style soda cans on bedside tables before capturing their beauty with my phone or 3 megapixel digital camera that is almost as vintage as the laptop upon which I blog.

Obligatory sold sign shot, May 2011...one of the first things we did was paint that garage door white.

  2. I love post-groovy. Really nice! When I read your pot title it reminded me of how much I like walking the dog at night and I can see inside some people's windows when their lights are on. I love those little glimpses of color and seeing what other people do design-wise.
